Your podcast can be live in every major listening app and still be hard to find on Google. Distribution puts the audio in podcast apps. Search visibility starts with a web page that Google can discover, understand, and choose to index.

An RSS feed is excellent distribution infrastructure. It tells podcast apps that a new episode exists and provides the title, description, artwork, and media file. But a person searching Google usually needs a useful web result, not just a media enclosure.

Many shows have one generic homepage, a short episode description, and buttons that send the visitor to listening apps. The most available part of the conversation may be 30 minutes deep, with no visible text or stable page section that describes it.

That does not mean Google is incapable of understanding audio or video. It means the publisher has left too much of the page-level evidence implicit. The fix is to make each episode a strong web document while keeping the original recording as the primary content.

Think of podcast SEO as a channel. First, a crawler discovers a URL through a link or sitemap. Second, Google renders the page and evaluates the visible content.
